We had that, now its totally hollowed out and everyone is almost worshiping the state…
As of now it looks good on the outside, a big Potemkin village really.
It has taken me a long time to even understand what we have now, its certainly a technocratic, hyper controlled environment.
Is it communism with a cash cow? That is what I’m thinking of these days…
When it comes to what was, and why that was so successful, then personally I feel quite certain that this was built on the old, pre-christian cultures, where so many very healthy elements of a culture were outright necessary to survive.
We did follow the retreating glaciers for ten thousand years after all, building that culture, and then the civilization that predates these bloody popes interfering…
That is my perspective, at least!
