The Need For A Statehood Dossier

Full disclosure here this is the basis and reasoning for why I started the Liberland vs The World article series.

For those of you who don’t know what a statehood dossier is, it is a a document that a country issues to support it’s case that it is a legitimate nation-state and why it should be treated as such. Our friend Somaliland has issued such a document as well as a regional neighbor of Liberland. Liberland should draft one as well that is comparable to Somaliland, the problem is again there are no statistics of which I have seen that can be used to create and support such a necessary document.

When the Minister of Foreign Affairs creates such a document it needs to be a public record just like Somaliland’s posted on their website here. Now I am not asking thy the entire foreign policy of Liberland needs to be made public at least not immediately as certain diplomatic do have to be sometimes discreet until said diplomatic mission has been accomplished. Liberland’s foray with El Salvador is a perfect example of this. After the mission is completed regardless of success or failure, such records must then be made public. So that the people of Liberland can then help critique the mission in a sort of debriefing.

No matter the current situation though we must publish a statehood dossier to be able to put pen to paper on what qualifies Liberland as a nation-state and Liberland is poised to continue doing up to the point of publishing to show that we are a nation-state and such document needs to be revisited regularly to make sure that is current and up to date.
