Dr. Tariq Abbasi, MBE, is a highly respected professional, a diplomat, former Investment Banker, with over 35 years of experience in construction and property development. His extensive career has been characterised by a commitment to excellence and a vision for creating lasting impacts in the built environment.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Abbasi has dedicated his life to community development and social welfare. He is renowned for fostering interfaith dialogue, promoting social cohesion, and mentoring young professionals. His efforts were recognized with the prestigious appointment as a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE). He is also the recipient of several national and international prestigious awards.
Central to Dr. Abbasi’s vision is ensuring that legacies endure and are not forgotten, providing a foundation for future generations to thrive. His work reflects a deep commitment to preserving history, empowering communities, and fostering sustainable growth for the benefit of society as a whole.
Dr Abbasi joined Liberland in 2015 and have been the driving force behind the worldwide diplomatic efforts towards the first step in the recognition of Liberland. He has been instrumental in making the very first state visit for President Vít Jedlička to Somaliland when we are able to sign an MoU with the Government.
Dr Abbasi has written to over 120 countries, signed several treaties over the last 10 years to establish initial silent diplomacy between Liberland, to the last successful recent Visit to the Republic of Liberia and the meeting with the President as well as other senior Ministers.
Dr Abbasi is fully committed to serving Liberland and Liberlanders from the bottom of his heart, and believes that with your support, he will continue serving as the Secretary of State as well as a Congressman.
