Progress report on the inability to address the most hated institution in LL history

It’s now day X+2, there has been no official word on the dismantlement of the despised LL Senate.

We are high in spirits that the group of people who have achieved such great successes as: the creation of Liberland and the first ever governance e-vote, will come to their senses and realize that the great people of LL will not stand for such a barbaric institution as the Senate.

The people will never allow for a forever government or for a govt seat to be passed down to children.

There is cautious optimism amongst freedom fighters that we will not have to wage war against this terrible institution for years to come. Hopefully, we will not have to dig trenches for a long winter standoff either. But, in so far as today, the front is quiet…

It’s now day X+3. Still no official word on the much hated systems of the Senate and the unlimited voting power issue.

For anyone familiar with Ayn Rand’s book Atlas Shrugged, work on Liberland is metaphorically grinding to a halt, and metaphorical workers are disappearing off the job sites. There is no use working on behalf of an entitled Aristocracy that has no interest in hearing the opinions of the people.

Spirits are still high that common sense will triumph over ego, and logical reasoning over vanity.

I consider the United States to be the most ambitious govt project ever prior to Liberland, and I do not recall hearing that Founding Fathers George Washington and Thomas Jefferson tried to gift themselves forever seats in government. Nor do I remember hearing Benjamin Franklin tried to get himself 1000 times the voting power of other citizens. No, it was “All men are created equal!”

We will hold steady, waiting and watching for glad tidings. The front is quiet…

Murf do you remember Alexander Hamilton advocated for an elective monarchy? He wanted the president to be a life term and wanted a strong executive Jefferson declared it a monarchy.

We must also strongly advocate against lifetime terms at all costs if a person is good at their job they will be reelected in theory at least, just don’t look at the sheeple in most democracies. Nancy Pelosi is a perfect example of entrenched power we must ensure that there is no disproportionate level of representation. Did you know if we go off of the represenation formula the US founding fathers had for the US House there would be over 10,000 representatives? The formula was 1 per 30,000

No I didn’t know that about Hamilton specifically, but I do remember from the John Adams series that there was a small contingent that wanted to replicate many aspects of the English monarchy for the US but they were shouted down and outvoted. Thank goodness.

I strongly agree about lifetime terms. Our supreme court justices are allowed to get decrepit and senile and still retain their power. That’s an interesting fact about the representative formula and it is a good reminder to us that not every idea we think is good now will survive the test of time.

Dear Martin, Dear Murf,

Thank you very much for your contribution and all the information you are supplying.

As a “new-bee” e-residence with the intention to form a LL’s company till end of 2025 with clear objectives and deadlines, I’d love to have an access to processes, information, docs, etc…to quickly and pragmatically progress with tangible development of LiberLand. Could you please point me to, or supply me with this information? At this moment our representative offices are not responding.

Many thanks in advance

Tadeo, Martin is the best person to ask about that stuff.

Today was a big holiday in America, Veteran’s Day, and it is to celebrate all the veterans that have fought and died in America’s wars. Would any of them been keen to fight in a war if they knew it was on behalf of entitled aristocrats? (Yes I know America secretly has entitled aristocrats too. Hopefully we are in the process of removing them all now)

It might be unlikely that anyone will have to die on behalf of Liberland, but many verbal and mental battles are sure to happen. The battles won’t be about seizing power like a tyrant, but they will be about the direction this new country should go in. How simply and easily these battles end in success of the best idea on hand will determine if this country flourishes or flounders.

Winter is about to come on strong. Still hoping for glad tidings.

It has been extremely quiet as most post-holiday periods are. Waiting and watching…

Maybe these issues are why Croatia has kept up their harassment techniques on LL. Maybe Croatian authorities are much more pro-liberty than we suspect and they want to prevent an aristocratic govt from moving in next door to them. Perhaps they are just waiting for the LL govt to change form into something that actually resembles a govt for the people and then they will celebrate it with open arms…

More than anything, I value my own ability to be logical and reasonable. If anyone can offer a logical and reasonable argument on why LL needs to have forever senators or why some citizens deserve to have as much voting power as 10000 combined citizens, I will hear out their arguments.

I know what it means to have people say that they will hear out your arguments and then not actually consider any of your words. I worked in healthcare during the scamdemic of 2020. I called out the mandates that had no scientific basis, and no one listened. I begged my friends and family members not to take the quackccine and no one listened. I will never be a person who doesn’t listen and try to understand.

But I have to take the lack of anyone vigorously making a case for these things (forever senators and unlimited voting power) as that everyone realizes that there is no point making much of any arguments for these things, because, there is no real argument to make for these things. No argument will convince anyone and no argument will make any logical sense.

Have no fear, resolution is coming. It might not take the form we expect to see, but it is coming.

Martin wrote a fantastic article about the UK House of Lords, and I would like to quote the part that I think sums up what happens when you allow an elitist aristocrat system into your govt:

“Historical Abuses: Murder, Pedophilia, and Corruption

The Lords’ history is littered with scandal, enabled by unaccountability:

• Lord Lucan (1974): Murdered his children’s nanny, assaulted his wife, then vanished. Protected by aristocratic networks, he evaded justice. His peers closed ranks.

• Lord Janner (alleged pedophile): Accused in 1991 of abusing boys at care homes. Police investigations were dropped thrice. He sat in the Lords until 2014, dying before trial in 2015. The Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) found “institutional failure” to prosecute due to his status.

• Jimmy Savile: Not a peer but knighted and granted access to elite circles, including Lords’ events. Abused over 450 victims, including at BBC and NHS facilities. Establishment protection—via MI5, police, and political connections—delayed exposure until 2012.

• Lord Ahmed (2009): Convicted of dangerous driving causing death, jailed. Previously convicted of sending threatening texts from his phone while driving.

• Lord Hanningfield (2011): Jailed for false expenses claims, defrauding £14,000.

These are not anomalies. The Cash for Peerages scandal (2006) saw Tony Blair nominate donors for life peerages. The Expenses Scandal (2009) exposed Lords claiming £100,000+ annually for “attendance” while asleep. A 2015 investigation found 1 in 6 life peers donated over £100,000 to political parties.”

I think everybody was busy with the event in Dubai.

That’s why there is no immediate feedback. I contacted few people and LL’s representative offices regarding e-residency, contribution, question clarification, LL event and starting a pure LL’s business. I think it takes some time to answer. I love to see some regular interest meetings and brainstormings in the future.

….or I’m still too small fish to be invited

It’s possible but when people stand to benefit in some way, it’s safest to assume the worst, and then perhaps be pleasantly surprised later.

In halls where gold dust coats the air,
Silent deals are inked in glare.
A smile hides what hands exchange,
Promises shift, foundations change.

The truth grows thin in velvet lies,
Like smoke that veils the watchful eyes.
Justice bends with patient grace,
Blindfold stained, yet stays in place.

Beneath the weight of gilded sin,
The cracks in marble creep within.
What cost is power—what shape, what name?
When virtue fades, all hearts feel shame.

But still, a spark resists the night,
In whispers small, begins the fight.
For buried deep, though bound in grime,
Hope waits to bloom, beyond our time.

It’s day X+12. I missed yesterday becuz of lack of internet, but, surprise surprise, still no official word on the much hated systems of the Senate and the unlimited voting power issue.

I am still confident that eventually the right decisions will be made, but this does not mean that pressure can be let up. For now, as far as we know, there will be forever senators and it will pass to their kids and they could have 50000X the voting power that the rest of us have. So we cannot let up and allow this to slide.
