Welcome to progress report 6 of Liberland vs The World
This time we have mostly focused on the Pacific Island states and Southeast Asia the pivot toward the Caribbean has started. As you can see in this round these countries are very innovative in terms of how they use blockchain, DAO’s and cryptocurrency. I was not aware of the progress that the Pacific Island states have made until I started doing this round of countries, I do hope that Liberland can use these examples to bolster their case that blockchain tech and DAO’s are here and are being actively used by sovereign states right now and that Liberland is no different from them except that Croatia is actively refusing to recognize their sovereignty. The same thing happened in the Pacific Islands before the dismantling of the UN trusteeships in that region the only difference is that the trusteeship regime was sanctioned by the UN so it was “legitimate” in the eyes of the international community just as colonies were “legitimate” were for centuries around the world. While tolerance of Liberland is being conducted on the part of Croatia, acceptance that Liberland is their neighbor is the end goal and looking at how the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia as a whole are adopting blockchain and some even going as far as implementing DAO’s it shows that progress is being made. I know this is a bit of a stretch but I hope that maybe blockchain diplomacy will be Liberland’s calling to the world as other countries in the world start navigating towards the blockchain for various needs.
