Subject: Congratulations on Your Election Victory
Dear Dr. Đurđević and Members of the Student List,
On behalf of the Free Republic of Liberland, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations on your victory in Serbia's elections.
Your achievement is remarkable. The student-led movement calling for accountability and justice following the tragedy at the Novi Sad station has grown into a movement that has earned the support of millions of Serbian citizens.
Novi Sad is a city particularly close to our hearts. We visit often, have many friends there and feel a strong connection to the local community. The tragedy that gave rise to your movement affected us deeply, and we have followed the events that unfolded since then with great interest and concern.
Many members of our Liberland community live in Serbia and have witnessed with our own eyes the enthusiasm and determination of people calling for change. We have seen it on the streets, in conversations with our friends and neighbors, and especially among young people.
Over the past two years, you have demonstrated extraordinary persistence and sincerity. You have brought together different generations and backgrounds, encouraged widespread civic participation and shown that a grassroots movement can achieve political change through peaceful action and democratic elections.
We recognize that the work ahead will be challenging. People’s expectations are high regarding transparency, accountability, the rule of law and the restoration of public trust in institutions. We wish you success in meeting those expectations and translating the hopes of your supporters into lasting improvements.
Liberland has a particular interest in Serbia's future. Since our founding in 2015, we have developed close relationships with communities along the Danube, especially in Apatin, Sombor and Novi Sad. We value these relationships and look forward to continuing our cooperation with the Serbian people.
We have also enclosed a brief overview of Liberland's activities and several areas where we believe cooperation could be mutually beneficial. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss these ideas with your representatives at a convenient time.
Once again, congratulations on your achievement. We wish you wisdom, strength and every success as you begin this new chapter in Serbia's history.
Yours sincerely,
Vít Jedlička
President
Free Republic of Liberland
