NGOs are dead; PAPDG businesses are the future (Publicly Accountable Partnership with Decentralized Government)
(I’m not tied to PAPDG, maybe a better acronym will come along).
We have developed this concept of a private business that is partially steered by govt (maybe direct e-voting by citizens). But it hasn’t really had its own name. We have just called it a business. But I realized this is where we went wrong in the USA, we allowed NGOs to be directly funded with taxpayer dollars, but no one knew this connection when seeing the business name. So a business could easily hide the fact that they were a direct arm of the govt.
Now instead of being ABC corp, ABC ltd, or ABC llc, if ABC company receives govt management or govt money, then it would be ABC papdg. And the PAPDG part must legally appear as part of the name always. If PAPDG is not in the name, then they should not be able to get anything from the govt.
Now comes the bigger job of working out how the PAPDG’s will remain transparent and accountable to the citizens.
