Message from H.E. Justin Sun

Many friends have recently asked me about my involvement with Liberland, and I am indeed very happy to see the community elect me as the Prime Minister of Liberland.

My understanding of Liberland is as follows: Liberland is not just a country; it is a manifestation of a political philosophy that champions liberty, minimal government intervention, and individual autonomy.

This is why prominent figures like Argentine President Javier Milei and U.S. Congressman Ron Paul have identified themselves with Liberland. The libertarian approach of reducing government spending, lowering taxes on citizens, and minimizing interference in people’s lives is the right path to genuine economic prosperity.

For those who are sceptical about whether reducing government expenditure might lead to social unrest, I would point to Liberland as a living example of how this philosophy works in practice—our citizens live freely and thrive under this system. It is also important to note that these ideals are recognized and supported by global innovators like Elon Musk.

Musk shares the belief that individual freedom and minimal government interference are essential for fostering creativity, progress, and prosperity. His advocacy for less centralized control aligns with the values that Liberland stands for, further solidifying the global relevance of our movement.

As Prime Minister, I aim to actively promote the idea of small government not only within Liberland but also as a model for the world. Our success can inspire other nations to embrace libertarian principles, demonstrating that a minimalist government can bring stability and prosperity without excessive regulation or coercion.

By upholding this approach, we will further Liberland’s status as a beacon of freedom and individual autonomy. Looking forward, I envision Liberland becoming a global symbol of libertarian ideals, a spiritual home for people all over the world who value liberty. Just as Vatican City represents a central spiritual authority for Catholics, Liberland will be the heart of the libertarian movement.

Libertarians everywhere may have their own countries and nationalities, but Liberland will serve as their ideological homeland—a place where their beliefs in freedom, autonomy, and voluntary governance are respected and embodied. What makes Liberland truly unique is that it is the first nation whose relationship with its citizens is based not on bloodlines or geographic boundaries, but on shared principles and values.

There are no forced obligations, no taxes, and no mandates imposed on its citizens. Everything is built on voluntary participation and mutual respect, which is how I believe all governments should operate—if not now, then certainly in the future.

Liberland stands as a powerful example of what the relationship between a state and its citizens can be, and I am committed to furthering this vision during my time as Prime Minister.
