How the system works
Instead of a single, centralized court model funded by taxation, Liberland’s judiciary operates on a market-based principle. Parties involved in a dispute choose how their case is handled and who will decide it. Costs are transparent, procedures are clear, and outcomes are delivered efficiently.
At the core of the system are Magistrates — independent decision-makers who resolve first-instance cases. Depending on the type of dispute and the package selected, a case may involve:
- AI-assisted judgements for simple matters (still under construction as to the date of publication)
- Human review or correction by a Magistrate
- Full human adjudication where complexity requires it
More serious or higher-risk cases receive enhanced review, with experienced Judges and additional safeguards. Appeals are handled through structured second-instance proceedings, and enforcement is overseen by the Supreme Court.
All of this is designed to ensure fairness, speed, and accessibility — without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Everything happens in the Liberland App
The Marketplace of Judges operates primarily through the Liberland Services app, where users can:
- Initiate and manage cases
- Select Magistrates or service packages
- Track decisions, deadlines, and enforcement
- Communicate within a secure, transparent system
The app is available here:

Become a Judge in Liberland
Liberland is now inviting new Magistrates to join the system.
If you apply and are accepted, you will be added to the official pool of judges and may be selected by parties to help resolve real disputes — for pay.
Importantly:
- Formal legal practice is not required
- Formal legal education is not demanded
- What matters is competence, independence, sound judgement, and the ability to resolve disputes fairly
Many cases involve mediation, structured review, or practical decision-making rather than complex litigation.
Magistrates choose how much they work, what types of cases they accept, and what level of service they provide. It is a professional opportunity for people with experience in dispute resolution, analysis, or decision-making to contribute meaningfully — while being compensated directly for their work.
To apply, simply click this link and submit your application. Once approved, you can begin offering your services through the Liberland App.
Justice, redesigned
The Marketplace of Judges reflects Liberland’s broader vision: justice that is accessible, transparent, technologically modern, and centred on human responsibility. Advanced tools assist — but never replace — human judgement.
Whether you are looking to resolve a dispute efficiently or to contribute as a judge, the system is open, voluntary, and built for the future.
