Perhaps he will come out strongly in favor of the eternal Senate seat system, you just never know. Either way, if he responds, it will be quite a fun time.

Liberland has had some interactions with Ron Paul so I wondered if Mr Paul was aware of one aspect of the govt system they propose and are currently using. They have subtly put forward that they are using a Senate system where the senators will buy their Senate seats for an undisclosed price and own that seat for their entire lifetime and even be able to pass the seat down to their children, and so on, for eternity.
I doubt this type of system is something that Mr Ron Paul would advocate for and so I wondered if maybe this was something he simply wasn’t aware of. If Mr Paul could put out a public statement clarifying where he stands on this issue, it would help a lot of Liberlanders to find their own voice in publicly saying whether they will accept such a system.
I am wondering why we need a “Senate” at all? Are we tying to replicate the same shit we are all having to deal with in the present or create something new and better. Representative Democracy is the problem. What we need is the first system of truly direct democracy. Under that, everything get’s voted on by every citizen that wishes to vote on it. Everything. Every proposal. No one has to vote but the opportunity to vote is there for those who want it. We can now do this via Blockchain Technology. For something to pass there would need to be a minimum percentage of people voting, and depending on the thing being voted on, the required margin of victory could be different. Also, one other thing would be needed…no unfunded liabilities. This means that any proposal to spend money needs to have a revenue stream attached to it. Like future tolls for a road construction. No borrowing of money for anything that did not have a dedicated repayment mechanism that did not involve taxation. Anything other than this and eventually, we will end up right back where we are today. And again, Blockchain Tech makes this possible for the first time in history.
But then what do the Senator’s children’s children get to inherit? Surely they deserve to inherit immense power just because of being born in the right family?
