A commentary on Vitalik: An Ethereum Story documentary

At the outset, it is worth paying tribute to one of the greatest minds of our time, Vitalik Buterin, the father of the Ethereum network and his genuine commitment to decentralizing all facets of global society through blockchain technology. But is everything so brilliant when it comes to his persona and work? I think not, and here’s why.

I acknowledge that I must take into account that Vitalik’s family fled Russia and found refuge in Canada, which at the time was undoubtedly a better place to live. I also recognize that I must consider the pro-Western - if not outright capitalist - indoctrination he almost certainly underwent in Canada, likely leading him to adopt a narrative that is directly opposed to what Ethereum’s technology supports.

Unfortunately, in many ways, the documentary took on the dimension of a pro-Ukrainian and anti-Russian political pamphlet, and this was not a distortion of his views but rather a fairly credible representation of Vitalik’s stance. What Vitalik failed to realize is that supporting one side in a conflict ultimately deepens and exacerbates that very conflict. Providing support for fundraising efforts to aid Ukraine where some of the funds ended up funding weapons in one of Ukraine’s regions is absolutely counterproductive, especially when it is widely known that the conflict arose precisely due to the reckless funding of Volodymyr Zelensky’s dictatorial regime, which is nothing more than a puppet of the West. To be more precise, it is a puppet of the world’s wealthiest investment fund, BlackRock, and the Federal Reserve of the United States.

The $8 million raised through the Ethereum network, compared to the roughly $300 billion in total funding, raises the question: How utterly pointless and ridiculous was this, and how much damage has his stance caused to global civilization, we can only speculate.? Instead he should’ve took a neutral position, publicly declaring that he does not side with anyone.

However, this is not the first time Vitalik has demonstrated absolute political immaturity. During the so-called “pandemic” which was nothing more than a carefully orchestrated action with major political objectives, he unreservedly provided moral and substantial financial support for population-wide vaccination. Yet vaccination was completely counterproductive, and far more people suffered from it than from the Covid-19 virus itself, which, in the end, was not dangerous enough to justify such an extreme mass reaction from the media, political circles, and the World Health Organization.

Vitalik - thank you once again for all your contributions to blockchain technology. But in my opinion, geopolitics is a field where he truly understands nothing and where he has made several grave missteps.

What can we expect next? A support for USA bombing of nuclear facilities in Iran? A support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza? I wouldn’t be surprised.
