Murf, I cannot answer this for now. Sorry. I’m still reading about LL system and forming my opinion on this subject. Besides, I’m pragmatic troubleshooter and claim solver, not a politician.

Yes I apologize, you are not a politician and have not been working tirelessly on behalf of LL for many years and definitely not a founding member of the LL govt and certainly don’t have a stake to gain if the Senate is allowed to exist as it is currently structured. Please continue to learn about Liberland. The new court system is a fantastic innovation as are some of the new draft laws put forth by Martin Bates, and I am somewhat proud of the new medical system I designed.
If you ever get around to it though, the Senate is currently the defining issue of LL. It will either make or break this new country. If aristocrats are allowed to take root in govt in such a way that they can never be removed, well that’s the end of the country, isn’t it?

I am glad we agree on this, I would guess that we agree on a great many things. I think the whole Senate idea is silly to even have to discuss now, the LL cabinet needs to set aside the entire idea, and once LL is actually a functioning govt, maybe then the idea can be unshelved and e-voted on once there is a cap to voting power. The problem is that we have to assume they are still going to follow through on this hated idea, and so we must act as if this is our first priority.
LL needs a provisional government that is willing to work incredibly hard. And it needs a think-tank to design new systems (this forum is the de-facto think-tank). It is not easy to devise innovative new methods of running a society. I was only able to design a new medical system after spending most of my career working in it. I’m guessing it was the same for the cabinet members that devised the LL judicial system. I designed a new police system (this thread), but since I’ve never worked in law enforcement, I feel that it is sorely lacking until we can find a libertarian minded person who has worked in law enforcement to go thru the idea and edit it to where everything makes sense.
So there are a million things to be working on in regards to LL, and so to divert our attention to have to focus on this Senate idea is a waste of our time. The cabinet needs to officially set the idea to the side so that the work of building a new and innovative country can move forward.
