“LiberLand could exactly define what’s going to happen when the lease expires and possible options to extend it.”
There’s no great minds coming to figure everything out. You are part of this think-tank, so why don’t you provide a possible solution to the end of leases, and then I will try to criticize your plan and we can work towards something?
Because other than that, your are speaking in generalities: “Should ONE individual or company be able to buy a planet, country or federal state?” This isn’t how it has worked out in real life for most countries, so it seems like a strawman, unless we are specifically talking about how LL should do things, and if so, propose some solutions for this, and I will critique.
“So why do we sell/buy land and pretend to be able to keep it forever?” This system has worked out “ok” so far. For anything better, we have to create it. My research has told me that blindly copying Singapore is not a better system, though maybe we can integrate their lessons to create a better system.
Thank you again for replying and I agree that no great minds can figure everything out (at the beginning). We need people like you to research, analyse and criticise previous and existing systems. Doers learn a lot from your posts and I enjoy reading them and complementing my knowledge.
My approach is however more pragmatic. I troubleshoot (incl. claim management) and implement (agreed) strategic projects. When I suggest something, I usually already successfully implemented it (in real life) or something very similar where the steps can be reproduced.
Why don’t we organise weekly or biweekly online meetings to elaborate possible approaches for LiberLand via:
brainstorming or,
applying game theory/strategy or,
simply summarising where we are on current LL’s topics and agree to further steps.
You could then summaries the outcome in posts in this forum. (I’m not much of a writer )

That’s tough to do with LL; nearly everything is experimental. You should read Nikola Tesla’s autobiography; he talks about some fantastic methods of building on ideas in your mind.
In regards to meetings, I work best in written format, so feel free to DM or email me anytime. I do enjoy interacting with you and everyone else on this forum. God willing, the LL govt will escape from the ball-and-chain shackled onto them by monied interests and we will be celebrating a free LL soon!
The leasing issue I think can be resolved easily with exclusive renewal option to the current lessee within a certain predefined window before the lease is up for grabs to anyone eligible. Under my plan that I had laid out but cannot for the life of me find now, was that the Land Trust would have to lease out any available land within 6 months of it becoming either abandoned, evicted or some other issue in which the said parcel of land was not either occupied or otherwise being held by some person or business. Under my plan the Trust would not require someone to build or occupy they could just hold the land vacant if they so desire too. The trust could lay out designated areas for certain types of uses like residential or commercial since the trust isn’t the govt they could if they so choose to but since it would operate under DAO rules the lease holders and investors would be ultimately in control of any such rules just like an HOA does but the rules would be conducted similar to how LL conducts its votes just maybe not by weighted vote to the extreme LL does it now.
Please also check business lease-holds for land in England and business car-lease-holds in Germany. The actual contracts & agreements, NOT AI online-hallucinations.
Martin your idea seems intriguing but I don’t quite understand what your full plan is.
It would have to solve the following scenario:
I build a 1M euro house in LL on a 99 year lease. I die 90 years later and the house + lease are inherited by my son. My son tries to sell it but no one wants to buy a 10 year lease. The lease expires and the property with the house revert to govt property.
(The citizens will not accept losing inheritance property value. And I personally would not build any structure of value in LL if there is the possibility of the value of it disintegrating to almost nothing as the lease gets close to expiration)
I see these 99 year leases as just another avenue to claim “eminent domain”. Better just to keep a vast network of interconnected properties that stay in LL Govt ownership and then rent out parcels for 1-10 year terms (If no or minimal building is necessary). If office space is needed, the govt builds office buildings on their land and rents out units for 1-10 year terms. There will never be any question about ownership or reimbursement. If the govt (all thru e-vote) decides to bulldoze the office building and make a park, then they can do it without any problems.
