Political parties can be formed

Considering Liberland’s 11-year journey, I believe the forum should pave the way for the formation of political parties. This will further strengthen representation at the congress and enable us to better carry our micronation into the future through the lens of ideological considerations.

Tempting, …but I think it’s still too early for it. We should first consolidate and structure (e.g. constitution).

In terms of strengthening, yes, but ultimately, we are not in a military war. If we consider cyber warfare as war, we are at war, but I believe we currently have the upper hand in this cyber war. The Bitcoin decline may be affecting our currency. Yes, economically, we may appear to be losing the upper hand in the war. However, we need to turn this to our advantage again with the actions we will take to build trust. I think we have successfully completed the first phase of cyber warfare, the introduction phase.

I have never voted for political parties.
I’ve ALWAYS voted for a person.
Individuals.
Individuals of merit - not followers.
People of conviction who can and do think for them selves.
People with a back bone.
Or to rephrase I have only ever voted for ‘conviction’ politicians.

In my decades of observation, political parties over time and to varying degrees attract ‘career politicians’.
Parasites!
People who like to make government bigger!
Often people who couldn’t keep a productive job in the competitive employment market commonly known as the “real world”, people who haven’t got enough nous to lead or formulate good ideas, not enough nous to make good decisions - but will blindly and obediently follow the lead of the party machine, take instructions, even if it conflicts with their own convictions and conscientious beliefs.
Not to mention their constituents that they supposedly ‘represent’.
Or to rephrase, spineless people who would get the highest scores in the Milgram experiment.

Political parties are sooo, old paradigm, we are Liberland, we can do better.
Much better!

Instead of proposing to create political parties we could be proposing the opposite, how to encourage individualism, people of merit, individuals of conviction, people who have their own critical thinking skills to stand as ‘Independent’ candidates.

Is it better we find ideas to promote Independent politicians over parties?
Perhaps it could become the norm in Liberland to have an absence of parties, instead a paradigm of fierce Independents.
A small group of Congressmen of merit who can work constructively and positively together.
Who can work productively with out the failed “us” and “them” mentality of ridged party politics.
Individuals with the meritorious skills to work positively with all other members of government with out needless confrontational conflict.
Perhaps we can evolve a paradigm where parties are viewed with disdain!?

What are some better ideas than parties?

Zooming out for a moment to look at the bigger picture;
Liberland’s genesis was created from prior experiences and observations then ideas.
All political and economic systems, current and historical were thrown into a filter. All the failed systems and all the systems with wobbly track records were eliminated.
So that’s why we don’t have communism, Nazi nor Scientology as part of Liberlands political system.
Even democracy (cherished by many here) has a wobbly track record – just look at all the Western so called democracies, the wheels are falling off. So this is why a corner stone of Liberlands system is meritocracy over democracy, with only certain (beneficial) elements of democracy.

Regards failed economic systems – same – jettisoned!

Occam’s razor was used to get rid of all the cancer and fluff.
A cherry picker was then used to pick the very best parts with the best track records out of all the various political and economic systems out there that worked well.
Then 11 years ago assembled all the good bits from scratch on terra nullius and with freedom loving people.

And look at what we’ve got!
We are most fortunate to have a beautiful young country with land, freedom loving citizenry, small government, decentralized monetary system, unique blockchain justice system, a meritorious diplomatic team, albeit reciprocal recognition pending…

TL;DR
We ought not come up with random ideas from old failed paradigms that make Liberland more like the legacy systems as evidenced by all the nation states around the world that are a shambles.
We need to always make Liberland better, different, leaner and freer from all the failed nation systems.

Political parties have no place in Liberland! The United States Constitution does not mention political parties at all because the framers did not want political parties because they were seen as corrupt groups which they rightfully are. However, Duverger’s Law states that the voting system of first past the post tends to only allow for two powerful political parties. The voting system for Congress as it is currently in Liberland is considered I would argue a multimember district (Since there are no districts) with a proportional representation mixed with ranked choice voting. The phragmen voting system is unique in that it is for individual candidates to be chosen NOT parties but still utilizes the proportional voting system with people using rank choice I would contend.

So, let me put it this way: instead of a political party, an opposition can be formed based on ideological differences, and through opposing ideas, the impression can be given of both power and opposition. As I said, another reason for this is to enter global politics and assert our presence. Because this is the path and opportunity to open up to development. Where the government lacks, the opposition must address the country’s interests. Instead of political parties, for example, the term “ideological groups” could be used. A provision could be included in the Constitution to ensure the formation of project-generating idea groups within the Congress instead of political parties.
