Liberland Blockchain Upgrade, EVM Support Released

The Free Republic of Liberland has introduced major changes to Liberland Blockchain, further enhancing citizen freedom, power decentralization, and transparency.

Liberland Blockchain v32 comes out with the full support of the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based Smart Contracts (SC) built on the Solidity programming language. Solidity is the current standard for Smart Contracts, ran by most blockchains and used by the vast majority of developers. This is what blockchain users expect to find in a blockchain, and now, they will.

This also means that developers can now deploy Solidity smart contracts directly to Liberland Blockchain, opening the network to Ethereum-compatible dApps, wallets, protocols, bridges, and much more. The team will begin enhancing documentation soon to ensure developers have all the information they need to begin building, and have ways to ask for more assistance.

This concludes the first phase of Ethereum virtual machine support as detailed in last week’s preview. We will soon add full support of Liberland functionality such as elections and referenda, and much more, but even now, you can load your native LLD into your Metamask or other EVM-compatible wallets (Coinbase, Binance, Trust, etc.).

Stay tuned for more exciting developments!
